The US Sun reports that most Target stores open at 7 or 8 am and close at 10 or 11 pm, although self-checkouts are closed during various off-hours, and many close at 8 pm. Staffing is also low during off-hours. Shoplifting is the primary cause, as inventory loss has increased over the past year or two, as reported by Business Insider.
