Kim Kardashian Was Originally Denied Use of Marilyn Monroe’s Dress

Kim Kardashian made a huge splash showing up to the Met Gala in Marilyn Monroe’s iconic “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress, but she almost didn’t get the chance to wear it. When Kim originally reached out to the museum for use of the gown, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not had her come and try it on, and a spokesperson for Ripley’s said they were not happy with how it fit her, and they denied her use of it. Kim left and returned a month later and after a crash diet,  16 pounds lighter to try on the gown again and the dress was a better fit. Kim said, “I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein.” Kim made two donations to the organizations in the Orlando area on the museum’s behalf as a thank you for using the gown. Who wore it better, Kim or Marilyn?
