Today, the hopes of MCU fans took a mighty blow. Marvel Studios VP of Production and Development Stephen Broussard shot down any MCU fans’ hopes that Robert Downey Jr. would return as Tony Stark. He said that idea is “no longer on the table.” In 2019, Downey’s character died saving the world in Avengers: Endgame, but Robert always teased that a return could happen. “Never say never,” said Downey Jr. about a potential return to the MCU.
