I’m super stoked to announce that I’ve teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters! It’s actually pretty easy to enroll and become a big! I went to the first orientation and face-to-face interview and it went so smoothly!! Chassidy, who interviewed me made the process more enjoyable than most interviews… What I mean by that is she asked me a series of questions pertaining to my everyday life, my interests, hobbies, my dislikes, my age preference (which was super awesome that I can pick what age) and she asked all of those answers so that way she and match support could make the most accurate match ever! I’m waiting to get matched with a little and when I know who will be my little brother you will know too!!
Alrighty I have some great news!!! My application was processed, they called all of my references, did the background check and I was APPROVED! The best part while everything was going through the process is they kept me updated with EVERYTHING! Just another reason why I’m super stoked to team up with this organization. Now, I am waiting for the match support team to match me with a little brother! That’s where the first interview comes in play. They asked me a copious amount of questions that would help them with their search! My interviewee asked things like “What’s your age preference” or “What do you like to do when you have some free time” and even things like “What wouldn’t you like to do with your little” just things like that to narrow down so they can match you perfectly! So after they match me, I will have to go meet the little and his parents, to make sure they see who I am and so that way I can see who they are (the parents) and I can sit down and make a plan with them if all things work out! Take some time to think about joining Big Brothers Big Sisters, the need for MALES for little brothers is super needed and all it takes is a few seconds to get everything started! I’ll keep you updated and hopefully I’ll have a little brother by then!
