Dua Lipa Wrote 97 Songs For Her New Album

As history shows, perfection takes time and hard work. Dua Lipa began the 2024 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles with “Training Season” and “Houdini,” the first singles from her anticipated third album. Following music’s biggest night, Lipa remained in Los Angeles and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where she discussed her songwriting process. As Lipa told Kimmel, “Training Season” and “Houdini” were chosen from around 100 songs written for the project and stored in a beautiful book. “It’s got every single song I wrote for this album,” she says of the book. ”I wrote 97 songs.” Are any of them terrible? “Lots,” she admits. “About 80 of them.” Lipa says her confidence has grown and now she is more sure of her songwriting ability. What are you more confident about now than you were when you were younger?
