Justin Timberlake Tour Merch Seller Preemptively Sues Bootleggers

At Climate Pledge Arena A tour merchandise company representing Justin Timberlake has filed a lawsuit in Western Washington District Court against bootleggers selling unauthorized merchandise outside his Climate Pledge Arena show in May.  Merch Traffic, which sells licensed merchandise for musical acts, including Justin Timberlake, is seeking to stop the sale of unauthorized items bearing Timberlake's name and likeness.  The lawsuit aims to prevent bootleggers from selling merchandise without paying royalties to Timberlake and requests the seizure of all unauthorized items at the concert.  Justin Timberlake has registered his name as a trademark in the U.S. and has authorized Merch Traffic to sell merchandise at his concerts. Is this good for fans? Do you, the fan, care if merch is authorized when buying at concerts?
