Capital Region cuisine is about to get the national spotlight. Lily's Cafe on Freeman's Bridge Rd in Glenville will be appearing on an upcoming episode of the Food Network's 'America's Best Restaurants'.
The show spotlights lesser known eateries from around the country, mostly mom and pop shops.
Lily's is owned by Scott and Elizabeth McGlauflin. Scott talked to News 10 and explained what makes Lily's so unique:
The biggest thing for us that separates us from most of the people around here is that we make everything from scratch. Lily’s Cafe is known for its corned beef hash, lobster rolls and benedicts, and its big portion sizes.
The show will be filming from 2pm-5pm on August 29th. The air date will be announced on America's Best Restaurants Facebook page.
