Ariana Grande Is ‘Reprocessing’ Her Time on Nickelodeon’s ‘Victorious

Ariana Grande reflects on her time on Nickelodeon's "Victorious" in a recent “Podcrushed” podcast episode, expressing gratitude for the experience but also reprocessing her relationship to it.  The hosts nor Grande bring up the recent documentary, “Quiet on the Set,” but Grande calls former child performers “survivors” and says their stories are “devastating.” She discusses the need for a safer environment for child actors and advocates for mandatory therapy in contracts. She also addresses the inappropriate content on Nickelodeon at the time and the need for more parental supervision on sets with teen and child actors. “...now looking back on some of the clips I’m like, ‘Damn, really? Oh sh_t’…and the things that weren’t approved for the network were snuck on to like our website or whatever,” said Grande, adding, “I guess I’m upset, yeah.” Do you think child actors should get more protection? Should there be laws enacted to make sure children are safe on set?
