Algerian boxer Imane Khelif won the gold medal in the women’s welterweight division at the Paris Olympics. Khelif defeated China’s Yang Liu in the three-round bout 5:0 The boxer was the target of many attacks online and beyond when questions surrounding her gender surfaced. Khelif was born a woman but has elevated levels of testosterone due to being born with a condition.
