Ryan Kiera Armstrong, lead actor of Hulu's Buffy the Vampire Slayer sequel series, shared a first-look image of her character and addressed the show's cancellation. Titled Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale, the series was set to be a sequel to the original with Sarah Michelle Gellar reprising her role and Armstrong as the new Slayer, Nova. Despite high expectations, Gellar announced on Instagram that Hulu decided not to move forward with the show.
