The singer admitted to using the account to keep up with culture and music trends that interest him, such as British rap and Irish folk music. Sheeran explained that having a Finsta allows him to discover new music and stay plugged into areas of the internet that appeal to his tastes. The singer also shared that he took a break from his social life at the end of the year and revealed that he does not own a phone, having gotten rid of his mobile device in 2015.
