The organizers of Fyre Festival 2 have announced that the event, scheduled to take place in Mexico from May 30 to June 2, has been postponed. Billy McFarland, the mastermind behind the failed 2017 Fyre Festival in the Bahamas, was convicted of wire fraud in connection with the original event. Tickets for Fyre Festival 2, with prices starting at $1,400, were being sold under the slogan "FYRE Festival 2 is real." Ticket holders have been issued refunds, and a new date for the event will be announced in the future.
