Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is rumored to be building a pub in Ipswich, Massachusetts, this spring. Sheeran recently launched theoldphonepub.com, where he announced that he was working on “something exciting” and asked fans to send text 917-909 4498. Sheeran has been gravitating toward Massachusetts recently, attending a Celtics game on St. Patrick’s Day and performing at the Dubliner Irish Pub in Boston. The Old Phone Pub project seems to be a nostalgic journey through memories, with Sheeran asking fans to share something meaningful from their past. The opening date and location of the pub are yet to be announced, but local Ipswich news reports suggest progress with licensing for a one-day event at the Old Mill building. Sheeran is set to kick off a world tour in April, but fans are hopeful to see him on the North Shore soon.
