JAY-Z's Night 3 "Extra Innings" concert at Yankee Stadium was delayed for several hours Sunday night after a security breach outside the venue.

In a joint statement, the New York Yankees, Roc Nation and Live Nation said "hundreds of non-ticketed individuals" attempted to force their way into the stadium, overwhelming security checkpoints and creating an unsafe situation. Organizers temporarily closed the gates to protect fans and staff while law enforcement worked to regain control.

Once the situation was resolved, the show began just after midnight. When he took the stage, JAY-Z apologized to fans for the delay, saying the decision was made to ensure "everyone's safety outside." Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
