Lil Nas X addressed his fans on Instagram Stories following his arrest, reassuring them that he would be okay.
“Your girl is gonna be okay, y’all. Okay? S—’s gonna be all right,” the “Old Town Road” hitmaker said Tuesday (August 26) in his post. “S—’s gonna be all right. S—. That was f—–g terrifying. That was terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days. But your girl is gonna be all right.”
The criminal complaint accused Lil Nas X of using threats and violence against police officers, preventing one from carrying out their duties.
In a viral video, Lil Nas X was seen walking down the street in his underwear and cowboy boots, interacting with the person recording him.
The artist allegedly punched a responding officer in the face twice before being taken into custody.
Lil Nas X pleaded not guilty to charges of battery on a police officer and resisting an executive officer, with bail set at $75,000.
