Songwriters Jamie Scott and Mozella revealed that Adele nearly secured a One Direction track, "Fool's Gold," which they co-wrote for the band's 2014 album, Four. After sharing the song with Harry Styles, Adele expressed her admiration for it, but by then, it had already been promised to One Direction. Mozella noted that Adele loved the song, but they couldn't retract it from the boyband. Earlier this year, Niall Horan described "Fool's Gold" as one of the most underrated songs in One Direction's catalog, while Louis Tomlinson has shared his own opinions on the group's songs, including his favorites and least favorites to perform.
