Skype Is Shutting Down Today

Skype, the popular video-calling service, is shutting down after 23 years of connecting people worldwide. Microsoft, the parent company, confirmed the official sunset date as May 5, 2025. Users can migrate to Microsoft Teams or download their Skype data to transition to another video-calling service. Teams offers similar features to Skype and accommodates up to 10,000 participants in a single video call. Alternative options include Google Meet, Zoom, Webex, Discord, and Slack, each with unique features and pricing plans to suit different user needs.
