Catherine author of the picture book, ONE OF THIRTEEN, was inspired by her mother who grew up in Maplewood, NY in the 1940s. A fictional story for all ages, this local story involves a train and a large family. My wish is to connect children to learn more of their heritage and family background. Catherine resides in East Greenbush with her husband and two dogs. She has worked in education for over 25 years, and when not writing, enjoys pickleball, traveling, and visiting her three sons and two grandchildren. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and is open to speaking to elementary school groups and nursing homes.

There will be an author and Storytime with the reading of the book, as well as books for sale to sign with a craft to follow.
