Albany Medical Center's Mary Beth Nichols was named the Children's Miracle Network's Child Life Specialist of the Year for her exceptional work at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. Nichols, a child life specialist, provides crucial support to families during medical procedures, offering emotional assistance and educational resources. She emphasized the importance of listening to children's needs and providing comfort during challenging times. In recognition of her dedication, a $20,000 donation was made in Nichols's name to the Bernard and Millie Duker Children's Hospital.
