The Queen will receive a $5000 scholarship

Do you know a young woman ready to represent our city? Nominations are now open for the 2025 Albany Tulip Queen! This is your chance to shine a spotlight on someone special who will serve as Albany’s ambassador for a full year.

The road to the crown culminates at the Tulip Festival on May 10th with the coronation ceremony. But before that, finalists will be announced in early May after a series of interviews.

Being Tulip Queen and part of the court is more than just a title. These young women dedicate their year to making a real difference. They get involved in volunteer projects, create initiatives to achieve their goals, and attend events focused on education and community awareness.

And here's a great bonus: The Albany Tulip Queen and Court have partnered with the United Way to establish a trust fund. This fund allows future queens and courts to award grants to local literacy organizations! Plus, the Tulip Queen receives a $5,000 scholarship, and each court member gets $1,500.

Is someone you know a perfect fit? To be nominated, they must:

• Be an Albany County resident from May 2025 to May 2026.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 24.
• Have strong team-building and leadership skills.
• Have clear community outreach goals.
