The chain is set to close nearly 100 stores across the country
Dollar General is closing its Albany location at 310 South Pearl Street by the end of April. This closure is part of the company's plan to shut down nearly 100 locations due to struggling consumer confidence. Employees at the Albany store will have the option to transfer to nearby locations in Colonie and Latham. This closure will leave Albany without a Dollar General store, as it is the only location in the city.
