It's expected to be closed most of the day
New York State Police say the Thruway southbound at exit 21 in Catskill will remain closed for several hours Monday after a tanker carrying diesel fuel flipped over.
It happened shortly before 4am Monday. No injuries were reported, however hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel has reportedly spilled from the vehicle. Environmental crews are on the scene to address the spill and start the cleanup.
Police estimate the Thruway will remain closed until late Monday afternoon.
