The popular swimming spot had been closed for two weeks.
Heavy downpours and flash floods at the beginning of August took their toll on the Capital Region - and continue to in some areas. However, the Town of Stillwater announced that Brown's Beach on Saratoga Lake will finally reopen nearly two weeks after the entire beach was under water.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, the town of Stillwater officially declared Brown's Beach to be back open:
We have completed extensive water testing to ensure the water is safe for swimming, and our Highway Department has worked hard to bring our beautiful beach back to life. The swimming area has also been completely re-roped and is ready to go!
The beach has risen up from the flooded waters and has been re-groomed. The marina, which was also under water, has reopened as well.
Barring any more issues from mother nature, Brown's Beach is open daily from 10am-7pm through Labor Day.
