How and When to Watch the Planetary Parade in the Capital Region

Borja Suarez, Reuters

A rare celestial event is about to take place

Gaze into the sky Saturday night (2/28) as several planets will be visible to the naked eye just after sunset. What's been dubbed the 'Planetary Parade' will feature six planets aligned across the sky.

Sunset is 5:45pm on Saturday, SpaceWalk.com  says 6:15 is when the show should begin. Mercury, Saturn, Venus and Jupiter will be visible, while you may need a telescope or binoculars to see Uranus and Neptune. Sounds like Mars will be sitting this one out - as for Pluto, the debate carries on.
