We are going to have to slow it down
New speed limits are being set for major cities in the Capital Region, with Albany reducing its speed limit to 25 MPH. Residents have mixed reactions, but many believe it will improve safety. The lower speed limit has led to decreased speeds and easier parking on Lark Street. Albany Police are now strictly enforcing the new speed limit, while Schenectady is also planning to implement a 25 MPH limit with a grace period for adjustment.
