Saratoga bars may lose that late night luster
Saratoga County supervisors are considering a proposal to close bars earlier, with a suggested county-wide closure time of 3 a.m. between May 1 and Oct. 1, and 2 a.m. between Nov. 1 and April 30. The proposal aims to address concerns about current closing times, police overtime costs, and public safety. Some supervisors support an even earlier closure time of 1 a.m., while others want to gather input from businesses before moving forward. The change, if enacted, would not take effect until next year.
