Update 2:21pm: Accident has been cleared and all lanes are open
An accident on the Northway is causing backups both north and southbound near Exit 9 in Clifton Park. Though the accident was on the northbound side just past Exit 9, emergency crews have shut down the left lane in both directions. Expect backups in the area.
