An artist claims Taylor's record-breaking tour was strikingly similar to her own work
Florida artist Kimberly Marasco has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Taylor Swift and her production company, seeking over $7 million in damages. Taylor Swift was dismissed from the lawsuit due to a failure to serve the suit in a timely manner, but the allegations against her production company remain active. Attorneys for Taylor Swift Productions have filed a motion to dismiss the case, arguing that many of the claims are time-barred. Marasco claims she was unaware of the alleged similarities until attending Swift's 2024 Eras Tour, while Swift's attorneys argue that her music has been widely accessible. The legal battle continues to unfold.
